Print from InDesign
In the media InDesign from the thing that I never understood what the options were needed to "Section Images" then I understood.
Send data defines the procedure for sending data related images. is useful to omit the printing of images of artwork or for some workflows.
Note: Graphics options for workflow OPI are in the Advanced tab.
The images section contains the following options:
• All: Sends all bitmap image data entered. This is the default,
because it is the most used in the final press with high-resolution. Threatens to slow the printing in color proofing high-resolution devices with low resolution because it sends more data than necessary.
• Subsampling optimized: send the amount of data sufficient to print graphics with the best resolution for the output device. If you expect to print color proofing devices with various resolutions, this option saves time because it sends the right amount of data, while avoiding the posting of a sufficient amount of data (unless the resolution of the images themselves is scarce).
• Proxy: send data screen resolution for the images included. It is useful if the details are not important, as in printing draft revision. The press is faster than Subsampling optimized.
• None: replace all the frames of graphics included with a large X to speed up the printing. For printing service, this setting is useful to determine whether any problems are caused by images or for printing drafts of the review.
